This classic-style Canarian manor house is located in the northwest of La Palma and has 180° panoramic views across the Atlantic Ocean, stretching toward the horizon. The exclusive property with its park-like gardens and extensive terraces offers absolute peace and tranquility in a completely secluded location. Perched on a hill, on a plot of 20,000 square metres, you can enjoy views over the lush vegetation, surrounded by fig and olive trees, succulents and countless palm trees. A long cypress driveway leads to the house – past the Mediterranean gardens and the surrounding unspoilt subtropical nature.
The light-flooded villa with various architectural elements from the 1930s is surrounded by terraces that extend over several levels and invite you to relax with a variety of seating options. The spectacular pool terrace with a crescent-shaped infinity pool and the Moorish-style pool house from the 1930s has the atmosphere of a film set, perfect for enjoying the unique sunsets over the sea and the endless starry sky.
A romantic water lily pond with blue water lilies is integrated into the dreamlike natural setting. Modern and classical sculptures by various artists can be found throughout the gardens and terraces. The neighbouring picturesque viewing terrace is the ideal place for a sundowner.
High-quality materials also characterise the interior of the house, where whitewashed walls contrast with the warm wooden frames of the doors and windows.The stylish interior design is complemented by bright primary colours that provide a fitting backdrop for the design classics and Bauhaus furniture. The antique terracotta floors from France harmonise with Le Corbusier and the modern accents. Floor tiles from Morocco, hand-picked North African art and carefully selected furnishing elements complement the ambience with great attention to detail. The silver-plated washbasins in the bathrooms were handmade in Marrakech.
The villa has three double bedrooms on two floors, three bathrooms and a large living and dining area in the basement with adjoining covered outdoor terrace. Indoor and outdoor areas seem to merge into the unique surrounding vegetation and the endless blue of the ocean.
The thick, partly natural stone walls keep the house warm in winter and cool in summer. The central heating and solar-heated pool also make it possible to stay all year round.

Villa Botánica is located in Puntagorda, a picturesque village in the northwest of La Palma, a heart-shaped island with secluded beaches, volcanoes and dense forests. Located between the ravines of Garome and Izcagua, Puntagorda is surrounded by pine and almond trees and is famous for its almond blossoms in January and February. Visit the “Almendro en Flor Festival” in February with music, dancing and free almond and palm wine, or the Patron Saint Festival in honour of San Mauro Abad in August.
The Barranco de Izcagua and the forest of El Fayal are highly recommended excursion destinations nearby. A popular market, the Mercadillo, is held in the village at weekends, selling local produce, wine, cheese and handicrafts.
Hiking trails lead directly from the villa into the unspoilt nature of the greenest island of the Canaries. The unique biodiversity of vegetation and fauna of "Europe's Galapagos" is a unique natural spectacle.
La Palma is famous for its clear night skies with minimal light pollution, so you can experience an evening sky full of stars. The observatory on the Roque de Los Muchacho is one of the largest in the world and can be visited by prior reservation.

BEST TIME TO VISIT
With central heating and a solar-heated pool, this villa is ideal for visiting all year round. The island has a mild climate throughout the whole year. The climate on La Palma is subtropical. With temperatures of up to 30 degrees C, it never gets too hot. In winter, temperatures are mild at around 10 degrees C. The water temperatures range from a pleasant 18 degrees C in February to 23 degrees C in summer.
